Terms of Use
What PAPERBRAWL is
A free browser game, made by an independent developer, with no publisher behind it. It is in open beta, which means it changes often and sometimes breaks. Playing it means you accept what is written on this page.
Who can play
You need to be 13 or older. If you are under the age your own country sets for using online services by yourself, which is 15 in France and up to 16 elsewhere in Europe, a parent has to agree to these terms for you. We do not knowingly keep accounts belonging to children under 13, and we delete them when we find out.
Your account and your Doodle
You can play without an account, and the Doodle then exists only in that browser: clear its storage and it is gone for good. Saving an email, a Google account or a Discord account is what makes it recoverable. One Doodle per account during the beta. Keep your access to yourself, because anything done from your account counts as done by you.
Playing fair
No bots, scripts or automated clients. No second account to farm your own, no tampering with what the game sends, no trying to overload the servers. Names are public and are moderated: choose one that would not get you in trouble at school.
What everyone can see
Your Doodle's name, look, level and fights are public. Every fight carries a share link that works for anyone holding it, and a clip you share can travel far past where you posted it. Do not put anything in a name you would not want a stranger to read.
What you make here
Your Doodle and its fights stay yours. By playing you let us store them, show them to other players and put them behind share links, which is simply how the game works. We can hide or rename anything that breaks these terms.
Money
The game is free and there is nothing to buy. Optional rewarded ads are planned, meaning you would watch one only if you chose to, in exchange for extra fights. If that ever changes, this page changes with it.
It is a beta
The game comes as it is, with no promise that it works, stays up, or keeps your progress. Balance, rules and prices can change. Before the public launch, progress can be reset completely, and we will warn you beforehand whenever we can.
Ending it
You can delete your account whenever you like, from Settings. We can suspend an account that breaks these terms, and for anything serious we do it without warning. Either way, fights you took part in stay in your opponents' history.
Limits
This is a free game. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for lost progress, for downtime, or for anything that follows from playing. Nothing here takes away a right your own law gives you.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by French law. If one clause turns out to be invalid, the rest still stands. Questions, complaints and legal notices go to:
